About the build
The Ashley House is located in the Westview neighborhood of Atlanta just 3 blocks from the Beltline. Matriarch Renovations’ owner and founder, Brittany Weiner, performed 95% of the renovations herself. Her projects included installing wainscoting in the dining room, adding can lighting throughout, converting the laundry room into additional kitchen space, creating custom cabinets, gutting and rebuilding the bathrooms, adding built-in bookshelves and shiplap, refinishing the original hardwood floors, and repainting and preserving the original wood siding. The Ashley House is a historic home built in 1919, and it was important to Matriarch to preserve the home’s charm and unique features. At the same time, Matriarch focused on updating the home to serve the needs of contemporary homeowners with expanded kitchen and bathroom space, an open floor plan, and modern finishings throughout.
Whether homeowners prefer to restore their home’s original beauty, completely remodel, or do something in between, Brittany and her team will work with homeowners to create custom renovations that fit their lifestyle, aesthetic taste, and budget.
